Bern's Steakhouse in Tampa: An Unforgettable Culinary Experience

It has been featured in dozens of national publications, U.S. presidents and celebrities have dined here, and the décor is very similar to Walt Disney World's Haunted Mansion. Welcome to Bern's Steakhouse where you can find the largest wine selection in the world, take a tour of the wine cellar as well as the kitchen, and enjoy dessert in a private room, the Harry
Waugh Dessert Room.

Founded in 1956, Bern's is located in the SoHo district of Tampa, Florida. The menu features fresh and local ingredients, many of them grown on the restaurant's own farm in town. With your entree, you get a small French Onion soup, a
deliciously crisp salad prepared before your very own eyes, fresh vegetables (I'm not a big fan of carrots, but these are spectacular and are slightly sweet), fried string onion rings, and a baked potato with your choice of toppings. If this wasn't enough, well, you can keep ordering the sides at no extra cost.
The majority of the servers have been here for over a decade. This place is more than unique. Once we finished dinner, we took a tour of the kitchen and the wine cellar. It was truly a jaw dropping experience to see hundreds of thousands of wines. And now onto the sweetest part of the night... dessert in the second floor. Here you can sip some after-dinner drinks in a private booth made from old wine casks. We ordered the Bananas Foster Flambé dessert which was prepared tableside in a caramelized sauce with banana liqueur, rum, Cognac, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
The food at Bern's Steakhouse is to die for the and the atmosphere is indescribable. It will keep you coming back for more.

George's in the Grove: A Piece of France in Miami

Finding an exquisite French restaurant in Miami is no easy task, but tucked away in the heart of Coconut Grove, we were able to find the winner of them all. George's in the Grove is small, friendly, delicious, unique and interestingly enough, very loud for being French. Yes, that's also what makes it so fun.
This little gem, which offers outdoor and indoor seating, is owned by restaurateur George Eric-Farge from Roanne, France. The menu features French classics such as Escargots (one of my personal favorites), Onion Soup, and Tartars... but what is truly delectable is the Filet Mignon with Green Peppercorn Sauce and Potatoes Au Gratin on the side. Yum Yum Yum!! If you happen to be vegetarian, there's no need to worry. Their Seared Tuna is fabulous and always fresh. The food is consistently perfect, and the service like none other. The first thing you get once you sit is a complimentary glass of champagne. You can't go wrong with that.
Whether you're wondering where to take your date or where to celebrate a birthday, go to George's in the Grove and discover for yourself why it's the winner of many awards and accolades, including a long run of Zagat "Best French Restaurant" prizes.
As the saying goes at the restaurant, "If you don't take your girl to George's, someone else will."
